HEALTH – Keeping Tabs on My Physical and Emotional Wellbeing

Diet is especially important. Since I eat out while on assignments, I make a point of cooking with fresh ingredients – mainly fruits and vegetables – when I’m at home and eat very little in the way of prepared foods. I also keep myself in good physical condition by exercising religiously. Emotional balance, of course, is also key, so I monitor my stress level, taking care to redirect my attention to different activities to avoid becoming overstressed.

Refreshing with One-Day Fasts!

desertOccasionally, there are days when I’ve eaten too many sweets or had a bit too much to drink, and I think that’s OK. What’s important is maintaining balance. For me, that means fasting – or cleansing by taking in only fluids in the form of fruit juice, herb tea, or water – the day after I’ve overindulged. It’s great for refreshing an overstressed body!
