Chiaki’s Travelogue

On assignment to capture images of serious environmental problems quietly brewing in the deepest reaches of the Amazon, or on a personal quest to rise to the challenges of the raw natural environment of the Himalayas, travel has been an important part of both my work and personal lives.

My travels have taken me to 35 countries and 49 US states, and I have developed an international sensibility and understanding of the world we live in through cultural interactions and by living as a member of local communities. Those experiences serve as the foundation for the video production, media and cultural consulting, event production, and a wide array of other activities I now pursue on an international basis.

Here are three representative examples of travelogues I have written along the way.
